The T20 World Cup 2024 has entered a crucial stage after 12 teams were eliminated at the conclusion of group-stage and now eight teams left will battle for the semi-final spot in the Super 8 round.
All matches of Super 8 will be played in West Indies where the pitches are a lot more batting friendly than the ones in the United States (USA) as we saw some of the low-scoring thrillers.
Despite 41 matches being played so far, not a single batter could score a century as the highest individual score of the tournament was posted by West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran when he scored 98 runs against Afghanistan before losing his wicket with a runout unluckily.
Only Australia (201) managed to cross the 201-run mark when they battered the English bowlers in Barbados. However, with more batting friendly pitches, we might get to see teams scoring 200 runs or more in the upcoming matches of the T20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, if we look at the individual stats, the USA's Andries Gous is leading the list of highest run-getters.
